Jasper Municipal Library is a member of Yellowhead Regional Library. Jasper Municipal Library is also a member of The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) and of The Alberta Library (TAL). Our participation in The Alberta Library gives our patrons access to 15 million items in over 230 Alberta libraries.
A Brief History
The Jasper Municipal Library occupies a building, which was constructed in 1926 as the Jasper Sub/District Headquarters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The library relocated to this building in 1975 when the RCMP moved to a new larger and more modern building. The library has done extensive renovation to the interior of the building, but has tried to maintain the charm of the original building.
