How do I get a library card?

Permanent residents of Jasper may acquire a library card provided that proper identification is shown.  Two pieces of identification (one must have a picture) are required with a Jasper address on it.  The charge for adult membership is $15 per year. Your library card is The Alberta Library (TAL) card. This means that as a member of Jasper Municipal Library, you may borrow and return books at any Alberta Library.

Temporary residents of Jasper may acquire a library card by providing picture identification and proof of residency (pay stub, rent receipt or letter from employer).  Temporary residents are limited to having three items checked out at any time and do not receive an Alberta Library Card.   Temporary members do have member internet priviledges.  The charge for temporary membership is $15 per year.

Senior citizens (65 and over) and children up to the age of 18 years whose main residence is Jasper receive free memberships.
